Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG)

A listers came together once again to put together a fabulous Red Carpet event tonight at the SAG awards. From blues to greens, the carpet sparkled with fabulous summer hues. Many stars opted for black, its a safe color and when the design is right, it ALWAYS looks stunning. Below are my fashion fairytales and horros from tonight's event.

No one could have looked more STUNNING than the beautiful Viola Davis. The Best Actress nominee opted for a white Marchesa  gown with gold accents. Jimmy Choo  heels are hiding under her gown. I love that she reinvents herself every time on the red carpet. She styled her hair in a wavy twenties style and paired it with minimal but elegant jewels. I cannot wait to see how she will outdo this look at the Academy Awards. 

  

Glee Club members Naya Rivera, Jayma Mays, Diana Agron, Amber Riley, Lea Michele and Heather Morris stunned while walking down the Red Carpet at the SAG Awards. Rivera opted for a sexy low-cut sparkly number by Naeem Khan. She completed her look with subtle jewels. Miss Pillsbury looked nothing like a timid guidance counselor in a black shimmery Reem Acra design while Diana opted for a softer hue. The actress donned a  Carolina

2012 People's Choice Awards

Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus were very easy picks for me during this year's PCAs. Both ladies surprised onlookers the moment they set foot on that carpet. My jaw dropped as soon as I saw Demi in an orange-sorbet figure hugging Marchesa gown. Her hair do did the trick as it showed off her toned shoulders and her beautifully executed dramatic makeup. She polished the look with a box gold clutch and gold peep toe sandals. 

Miley was another shocker for me as she tends to dress a bit "too old" at major events. She looked flirty and  sexy in a David Koma mini paired with Jimmy Choo stiletto pumps. Miley carried a silver Marchesa clutch and paired the look with gorgeous Neil Lane stud earrings.

Both Ashley&Kristen have the bodies to pull off their leather-lace numbers but, only Kristen makes it work. Ashley's custom made DKNY

Viola Davis STUNNED in a slim cut coral Lauren by Ralph Lauren design. The frock was perfectly paired with House of Lavande jewels and Jimmy Choo sandals.

St. John Announces that Kate Winslet Will Continue to be their Brand Ambassador

The Academy Award winning actress has one of the best bodies in Hollywood (in my opinion). She isn't a size two and isn't afraid to talk about it. As she continues to embrace her curves as the Brand Ambassador for St. John, Kate beautifully encourages women not to feel ashamed of their bodies by celebrating their curves in beautiful clothing. While St. John's clothing line is out of reach for many of us "normal folks" due to the price tag, it is important for women to know that there are gorgeous garments out there for curvy women. Curves are beautiful, celebrate yours!

Lohan Rising From the Ashes?

2012 is looking good for actress Lindsay Lohan as she's kick starting the new year with a gorgeous and glamorous add campaign for Phillip Plein. Not a stranger to cameras, Lindsay looks stunning, elegant, demure... in this campaign. Picture #2 is my absolute favorite as it shows the glamorous Lindsay we haven't seen in a while. The actress is trying to revamp her fallen acting career by making starring in a made-for-tv biopic of the late Elizabeth Taylor (lets hope it doesn't get the boot like Katie Holmes' portrayal of Jackie O in the Kennedys). She is a talented actress and I have always believed she would make a come back, perhaps 2012 is her year. Keep up the good work Linds!

Jason Wu For Target

A few hints and teaser pictures later, the Jason Wu for Target lookbook has finally been revealed. The clothes are very different than his latest runway looks. Instead they are flirty and playful. I sadly wasn't too impressed with the collection, as I only fancy five looks. The collection is young and fresh. Although they look as if they were designed for catholic school girls my favorite looks (shown below) are outfits I could wear to work/school or to a sunday brunch with friends. The accessories were a big let down for me but the prices are definitely an eye grabber, going for $19.99-59.99 for the clothes. 

DSQUARED2 SS12 Campaign

Shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, this campaign is everything it was expected to be; edgy and sexy. The male models were beautifully chosen, they all have a certain "je ne sais quoi" about them. Natasha Poly, the female lead in the campaign definitely held her own in this pack full of men. She stood out looking as fierce as it could ever get. Well done!

New Year Resolution

It's been six days since we welcomed 2012. Many set new goals in order to start the year fresh and hopefully not disregard them like last year's resolutions. I normally stay away from setting high expectations so early in the new year because as we know, life gets in the way. Fact of the matter is, you don't have to wait until January 1st to set a goal, you can do it at any give time of the year. 

I have decided this year that I will make changes in order to live a better life. They aren't resolutions, they are simple lifestyle changes that will help me accomplish the same goal I have every year; to be the best I can be. 

1. Focus on myself more (not in the narcissistic way I'm used to)

2. Focus on my relationship with God, my family and the boyfriend

3. Save enough to buy something from Chanel ( I HATE knockoffs)

4. Focus on my schooling and career goal, land my dream job by the end of this year.

5. Move away from downtown as it only brings more distractions into my life

I have attended many events last year and of course looked fabulous! My greatest fashion accomplishment of 2011 was the discovery of BEBE dresses. They are gorgeous and affordable. No matter what your size or budget is, you will find something perfect for you.

The Golden Bulge is Back!

Beckham shows off his golden bulge again, modeling his own underwear line for retail giant H&M. The MLS champion and father of four looks sexy and mysterious while showing off his impressive body and art for his add campaign. His bodywear line for H&M is sure to be a fast seller as did his previous collaboration with Emporio Armani underwear. He sure knows where his market value is!
